Baravelli (Bologna, Italy)
Active from the late 1960s, Baravelli was an Italian toy distributor based in Bologna. Between 1969 and 1972, the company was the official importer of Matchbox diecast cars for the Italian market — a time when British brands were gaining popularity across Europe.
After the Matchbox era, Baravelli launched its own diecast range under the names Baravelli and Barlux. These models were known for their sturdy builds, vibrant colors, and diverse vehicle selection — from sports cars to utility trucks.
In 1981, production ended under the Baravelli name when it was taken over by the newly formed Giodi company, closing a distinctive chapter in Italian toy history.
